Is the America the Beautiful pass worth it?
Tick the parks you'll visit in the next 12 months. We add up the entrance fees and compare them with the $80 annual pass ($250 for non-US residents).
Good to know
- The pass covers entrance at all national parks and other federal recreation sites that charge entrance fees, for one private vehicle, or four adults at per-person sites. It does not cover camping, tours or reservation fees.
- Non-US residents: the $250 pass also covers the extra $100 per-person nonresident fee for the pass holder and passengers in one private vehicle.
- Seniors, military, people with disabilities and 4th graders have their own cheaper or free passes. See park passes.
- Prices and coverage from nps.gov passes ↗ and each park's fees page, November 2026.
